Ajka’s city Center is a typical example of socialist East-European space planning. With its orthogonal grid and generous public spaces it represents good architectural ideas, sadly based on a wrong economic model.
Rather than simply adding new volumes, we prefer adaptation as a natural and generative process. As opposed to 60’s orthogonal grid, we chose more natural and more flexible system – voronoi. Grid is responsive according to needs for divisions.
